Burnside RFC is excited to announce that Amiria Rule (nee Marsh) will coach the Burnside RFC U18 School Girls team in 2026. This team is seen as a vital gog in the growth & development of women's rugby within the club

Biography: Amiria was a teenage sensation who realised her early potential to enjoy a Black Ferns career spanning 14 years.The versatile outside back won the World Cup twice. In 2006 she was named New Zealand Women’s Player of the year.When she was Year 9 at Avonside Girls’ High School, Rule was 70kg and could run 100 meters in 12 and a half seconds. She was already a national age group cricket representative. Rugby soon took over and in Year 10 she was selected for a Black Ferns trial. She went on to play 34 games for the Black Ferns, 33 test.
